The whole band is super-psyched to be back on The Merry-Go-Round live show on WPAQ in Mt. Airy, NC. We’re on the air from noon until 1:30 PM on Saturday, 02-NOV-2019. The Merry-Go-Round is second only to The Grand Ole Opry as a continuously broadcasting live radio show. We have appeared here once or twice each year for a long time and never tire of the excitement of the crowd in The Earle Theater and the thrill of being on live radio. The WPAQ Saturday morning Merry-Go-Round, which is a live radio broadcast set in a vintage movie theater, has an exceptionally long history of presenting the best of live traditional music in the Blue Ridge. Through the years, a host of regional and national music legends, including Tommy Jarrell, Benton Flippen, the Carter Family, Mac Wiseman, Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, and Bill and Charlie Monroe have appeared on the broadcast.
